THE FESTIVAL OF LIFE AND DEATH RETURNS TO THE MAYAN RIVER
CELEBRATE THE DAY OF THE DEAD IN XCARET

1. Art exhibitions
Immerse yourself in the world of Mexican art and visit the visual exhibitions which you may have distributed in our park. Be sure to watch the collective “Meeting of Style” make a live mural and take a look at the Xcaret mural collection “Camino de vida y muerte” on Avenida Principal.
Also be sure to visit the Shrouds of the Souls of the Bordadoras Zona Maya and the Art of Syncretism by Playa del Carmen visual artists and soak up the artistic manifestations of Mayan culture.
2. The flowers of cempasúchil
Although it is not an activity as such, do not miss the opportunity to appreciate the beauties cempasúchil flowers that decorate our park. Its aroma will transport you and its colors bring life to the decoration that floods our park.

3. Macario, the godson of the death of B. Traven with Ignacio López Tarso
You can enjoy this play starring the iconic actor Ignacio López Tarso. “Macario, the godson of death” tells the story of a lumberjack who at the moment when he is fulfilling one of his greatest desires, receives an unexpected visit from three powerful characters: the Devil, God and Death.
Enjoy the daily function in our Open Forum and be sure to arrive 30 minutes early because, due to the contingency, we have a limited capacity and the Forum fills up very quickly.

4t Gastronomic show of Quintana Roo
Of course, in the celebration of the Day of the Dead in Xcaret can not miss the gastronomic show of the invited state and as this year we are celebrating our special quinceañero, the gastronomic guest is Quintana Roo.
Queen’s arm, black stuffing, mucbipollo, chubby ball cheese and more. Enjoy the typical dishes of the 3 regions of the state on our esplanade from 16:00 to 22:00 hrs.
5. Mayan Village Workshops
You can not miss the opportunity to participate in any of the workshop offered by Xcaret Park. Visit the Pueblo Maya following the white line and enjoying our workshops that last approximately 30 minutes.

7th Gala concert “Xcaret in its music”
Xcaret has created many musical themes to dress up his shows and in this concert you can enjoy the Work created in 2004 by Andres Campos: “La Danza de las Ánimas” a tribute to the Festival of Traditions of Life and Death and many other important themes for Mexican culture performed by the Majestic Symphonic Camerata of Xcaret, the Mariachi Femenil “Las Adelitas”, Los Cantores and Grupo K´ ai.
This concert is included in your general admission to the Festival so don’t miss it. Attend the Open Forum at 9:45 pm and let yourself be carried away by the rhythms set by the Xcaret groups.
8th. Craft show
In the new festival you will also enjoy a very wide craft show. You can visit several stands where you can buy handicrafts representative of the state of Quintana Roo. These crafts include mouthpieces, clothing, shoes, dolls, among other things.
9. Visit the souvenir stand
This year, due to contingency, pintacaritas will not be available, but don’t worry. We know that the makeup of skull and catrina is super important to celebrate the Day of the Dead in Xcaret to the fullest and how we would not want the strange, At the new stand you can buy makeup to paint yourself.
