Source: NBC News.<\/p>\n<p><em><b>Tropical Storm Ian<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>    became a hurricane this morning and is currently on its way to Cuba<\/strong>. <strong>Authorities have issued a weather alert for Cancun and the Mexican Caribbean state of Quintana Roo as Tropical Storm Ian approaches the area.<\/strong>.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Although the storm has become Hurricane Ian since the first &#8216;blue alert&#8217; was issued, authorities maintain that Quintana Roo remains under the blue alert. The battery is expected to gradually move towards north about 350 kilometers off the coast of Cancun, and while it will not make landfall there, heavy rain, strong winds and thunderstorms are expected across much of the region over the next 48 to 72 hours.\u201d (Source: The Canc\u00fan Sun)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h3>On the way to Florida<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Ian&#8221; is expected to reach American shores between Wednesday and Thursday, after wreaking havoc in Cuba, where it will arrive between Monday and Tuesday, according to the American newspaper Daily Mail.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The NHC estimates that &#8220;Ian&#8221; will strengthen to become a &#8220;major&#8221; Category 3 or greater hurricane on Sunday;  therefore, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis declared a state of emergency in all 67 counties.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Here are the key messages for Monday at 5 am for the hurricane <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Ian?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"noopener\">#Ian<\/a>.
